The Beqa Lagoon shark dives offer you a chance to experience the 'Big Show' - where up to 8 shark species gather in a single shark dive. Bull sharks, occasional tiger sharks, lemon sharks , silver tips and reef sharks feed en masse in Fiji's Shark Marine Reserve. The show in these 'shark arenas' is unforgettable with around 20 bull sharks on every dive looking for their meal amid large fish schools

How Deep is the Shark Dive?
Divers kneel at a wall made of dead corals around 22-23 m ( 72 ft) where the shark feed takes place.
Can I Take Photos?
Absolutely! Go pros and Insta 360s are very popular and with larger camera set ups strobes are allowed. Video lights however, are not allowed on some dive sites.
Is the Shark Diving in Fiji Safe?
With over 30,000 safe dives, Fiji's shark dive safety record speaks for itself. Sharks are not interested in humans as food and protocols ensure minimal risk.
Do I need to be a certified diver?
Yes. Open water PADI or equivalent diver certification is required for the shark dive.
What about Sea Sickness?
Whilst the visibility is best between May to November the seas can be rougher. Take a seasick pill prior if you are prone.
Where does the 'marine park' fee go?
The small marine park fee goes to the owner of the Shark Reserve reefs - the Fijian villages. In exchange they prevent the granting of any fishing licences.
