A Small, Family-Run Resort on Taveuni
Set within ten acres of tropical gardens overlooking the Somosomo Strait, Nakia Resort & Dive is a small, family-run retreat with just four bures accommodating up to 15 guests. Each bure enjoys sweeping ocean views, while the resort's 12-metre swimming pool provides a lovely place to relax between dives. Its location on Taveuni also makes it a convenient base for exploring the island's waterfalls, rainforest and local villages.
Diving Rainbow Reef with Taveuni Ocean Sports
Diving is arranged through Taveuni Ocean Sports, the resort's associated dive operation, offering access to the spectacular Rainbow Reef and its celebrated soft coral dive sites. The experienced guides are particularly attentive to the smaller marine life, including nudibranchs and pygmy seahorses, making this a wonderful destination for underwater photographers.
With small dive groups and a dedicated dive boat, the experience is personal and unhurried, allowing divers to enjoy the extraordinary marine biodiversity of the Somosomo Strait.
