Nakia Resort & Dive is set on ten acres of tropical gardens with a spectacular ocean view perfectly positioned within two small Taveuni towns. This stylish and intimate, family run, resort has just four bures accommodating up to 15 guests and a refreshing 12 metre pool.    All bures enjoy a 180 degree view of the Somosomo Strait.  Nakia perfectly positioned to explore the incredible wild east coast of Taveuni. 

 

Diving is done with Taveuni Ocean Sports, the family run connected dive operation a stone's throw from the resort and all areas of Rainbow Reef dived with diligent macro spotting dive guides keen to point out pigmy sea horse and rare nudibranches. Four diver to each instructor ratio is followed from  10 metre modern aluminium dive boat, 'Upwelling'.

Nakia Resort & Dive's Cliffhouse Restaurant enjoys unparalleled views of the Somosomo Strait.  Tropical fruits and vegetables are grown just metres from the table in the resort's own organic gardens

Nakia Resort - Tranquility Defined

This intimate boutique resort has just four bures.  All are spacious and beautifully appointed in tropical gardens with 180 degree views of the ocean.  Each bure has a hammock and a veranda.  They are furnished with elevated ceilings with cooling fans, on demand hot water, 240 volt electricity, daily maid service and and beach and bathroom towels.  Premium mattresses, locally crafted decorative mats, fabrics and wood carvings.  There is a refrigerator and interior ensuite bathrooms.
