Barefoot Manta is the place to be if you love these gentle giants The resort works programmes to educate and enable you to get very close and personal with manta rays and to understand their biology and advocate for their protection. White tips and black tip sharks are also present on the house reef.
A marine biologist is on site offering educational programmes and coral cultivation programmes. The manta rays are all identified and entered into a database. Research is ongoing to learn more about where they go in between their time spent around the Yasawa Islands, breeding and other aspects of their life.
