Barefoot Kuata Resort  - Low key and beautiful

Barefoot Kuata Resort is synonymous with nature and the marine environment. The resort dive operation works hard to cultivate and replant corals, to remove crown of thorns starfish outbreaks, to breed clams, educate visitors on shark conservation and a wealth of other initiatives.

It is a beautiful resort with a friendly bustle, relaxed vibe and a stunning expanse of hard corals straight off the beach.

GET TO KNOW FIJI'S SHARKS

Barefoot Kuata is the place to be if you like sharks.   The resort works programmes to educate and enable you to get very close and personal with bull sharks and the more mellow grey reefs, white tips and black tips.  White tips and black tips are also present on their house reef.

The bull shark dive is very well run and around 10 bull sharks are usually present.  The shark dive differs to the shark feeding in the marine reserve at beqa lagoon as the water in the yasawas is very very clear and there are fewer divers on this dive.
