Fiji offers some of the best diving in the world with its clear blue waters peppered with world class soft coral bommies, hard coral walls, sharks, manta rays and other pelagics. The white sand beaches are picture perfect and the Fijian people are graced with a magic second to none. Lush green jungle meets azure bays around our archipelago. Fiji is the perfect place to book a dive vacation.
Fiji has several scuba dive resorts which have been built by divers and with divers in mind. They are all uncrowded beach front resorts, often with bars by the beach in the sand, with beachfront spas, dining and ocean views. They have access to the best of Fiji's diving, professional and fully equipped dive centres, all the local knowledge of weather conditions, currents and the best diving sites. Some have nitrox compressors which can be handy if you find repeated dives make you tired. Most dives in Fiji are not deeper than 25 metres and our reef systems often mean dive profiles lend themselves to ample time spent in shallow water and safety stops on vibrant fishy hard coral bommie tops. 5 metre safety stops are also fantastic for a snorkel between dives.
Adding a few days of shark diving in Beqa Lagoon is highly recommended as Fiji is one of the few places on earth where you can dive safely in clear waters with tiger and bull sharks. We highly recommend adding a shark dive extension to your Fiji scuba dive holiday
Waterlust dive travel is based in Fiji so we can offer some of the fastest confirmations with dive resorts - all of which we know personally! We can accept all major currencies and can price match if you see your trip cheaper elsewhere.

Relax and rejuvenate between world class dives!
Listen to the gentle lapping of the waves and feel your tension dissipate into the magic of the white sand and blue ocean back drop. All of our Fiji dive resorts offer ocean front treatment spas. The Fijian people are renowned for their natural desire to please you with soothing massages. Our spas use products carefully created from tropical ingredients such as cold-pressed coconut oils and flower essences. Enjoy island specialities such as banana leaf body wraps, passion fruit scrubs and seaweed exfoliation.
Fijian cuisine is a vibrant fusion of tropical flavours characterised by our island's fecundity. Fresh, locally sourced fruits, vegetables, meats and fish will be infused by our talented chefs with herbs and spices producing diverse and delicious meals.
Fijian flavours focus heavily on coconut milk, fish and local fish with dishes, like the unmissable kokoda (pronounced kokonda) then spiced with lime, coriander and chillies. Starchy root vegetables such as taro and cassava are often used as side dishes. The Indian Fijian influence has also contributed a delicious range of curries and chutneys.
Our all inclusive meal plans - all of which include 7 courses per day focus on uniquely Fijian interpretations of western dishes blended into South Pacific island style.
Veggie, vegan and gluten free options are always available
Expect a range of cultural performances after dinners - the Fijian people love to sing and you will be serenaded with ukelele playing, choirs. Mekes (a traditional Fijian story telling and war dance), fire dancing and a range of other entertainments are usually provided - usually combined with a 'lovo' - the traditional feast in which meat, fish and vegetables are cooked in the ground slowly producing sublime and succulent flavours.
The resorts we have chosen also offer village visits, trips to meet children at local schools, market tours and of course, kava ceremonies. Our mildly intoxicating root is ground and used all over Fiji to welcome visitors to our lands. To some it may be an acquired taste!
Tipping - yes or no? Fijians are a familiy and community orientated people and they feel awkward to be given something individually plus there are people behind the scenes who you won;t encounter who are pivotal in making your stay fabulous. There will be a staff Christmas Fund box for your tips.

However, we have also dedicated time to use our local knowledge on how you can dive Fiji on a budget and we've bundled air bnbs, lower price hotels and a range of tried and tested Fijian homestays with dive packages on the best of Fiji's coral reefs.
We have indicated where you can take local buses rather than hotel transfers and can advise on ferry schedules (long and unreliable but its possible to save hundreds of dollars on inter-island flights).
Fiji can be expensive, especially when you consider the distance to our remote little rock in the middle of the South Pacific. Everyone's budget is different and if there is a way to get you to our underwater paradise we will.
